1, water resistance: mainly refers to the carbon fiber composite material in a high humidity environment, its corrosion resistance is called water resistance, the aquatic environment includes rainwater, fresh water and seawater. On the one hand, the water will cause the matrix resin swelling, on the other hand, will make the fiber and the substrate interface produces internal stress, will weaken the fiber and the adhesion between the matrix.

2, weather resistance: carbon fiber composite materials in the outdoor environment, its corrosion resistance is called weathering resistance. The combination of sunlight and oxygen and humidity is the most important. Aging is usually from the surface of the carbon fiber composite to the internal expansion, improve the surface state can be very good to improve corrosion resistance.

3, resistance to medium corrosion: mainly refers to its acid, alkali, salt and other organic solvents to resist the ability to decline performance. The corrosion of the composite by chemical medium can cause the change of micro and state as well as the decrease of performance.

As a new structural material with excellent properties, carbon fiber composite has good corrosion resistance, but its surface is relatively weak, so it is helpful to improve the corrosion resistance of carbon fiber composite by adopting effective modification means and blocking the corrosion channel.
